4 Reasons to Purchase a Case For Your iPad

The age of the iPad is upon us. Everywhere you look, you can see people working with this seemingly futuristic device. As they turn it sideways, the picture on the screen follows suit...if they want to interact with the screen, they just touch it and the command is obeyed. Yes, the iPad is a wonder to behold indeed but what makes me wonder even more if, why don't more people make an effort to protect their iPad?

I see people all the time carrying their iPad like they would a magazine and this to me, makes no sense. Here is a list of 4 reasons that someone should purchase a case for their iPad:

1. It is Expensive! Ok, so I know the iPad is slim and some folks liken it to a notebook computer, and yes it is easy to carry around on its own, BUT...this is not an 89 cent spiral notebook...it is a several hundred dollar Apple Computer! Protecting that investment with a case that costs less than $50 or so makes good common sense.

2. The way it is used makes it vulnerable to accidents--iPads, unlike traditional laptops, are extremely light and portable making them easy to use no matter what it is that you are doing. This means that it is more likely you will have an iPad in your hands when you are doing things like riding in a car, sitting on a bus, or even taking a rest on a bench in the park. The more times you have it out in public UNPROTECTED, the more likely something is to happen to it.

3. If it is hidden, chances of it getting stolen are less-Simply put, if your iPad is in a case, then would be thieves won't be able to peep it so easily. Keep it under cover and not visible when not in use.

4. Limit the chances of dust and debris harming the iPad--iPads, like most computers, are susceptible to dust and debris. If you have a quality case that not only protects your iPad from scratches and dings, but also helps to keep out unwanted airborne particles, your iPad will stand the chance of lasting much longer as a result.
