Apple iPad Review - What is it? How Much Will it Cost, and When is the Release Date?


Though the iPad doesn't look like much at first, but it packs a lot of features that consumers will drool for. The iPad is all display and is a multitouch panel. The in plane switchingIPS back-lit LED display gives the iPad brilliant views of all kins of media.

Under the hood iPad uses an Apple processor running at 1 gigaherz and is responsible for everything from processing to graphics display. Other features include super fast wireless access up to 3 megabytes per second, up to 64 Mb memory, bluetooth, wireless EDR, speakers, built in microphone, and incredible GPS abilities.

Battery boasts 10 hours usage and 28 days in stand by mode. The iPad is wifi ready but can also link directly to 3G wireless networks on the fly.

With the April release date looming people are wondering what the price tag will be. Rumors flew that the iPad would be around $1000, but Apple is saying price points will be in the $500-$600 range. This price point will make the iPad Tablet available to the masses and will replace laptops for people that just want to shop and brows on the go. This is the market that Apple sees as wide open. The iPhone has proven consumers want multi-function entertainment at thier finger tips, and the iPad aims to deliver.

Apple will attempt to put gaming, web surfing, reading and many other daily uses into one compact and wonderful package. Simply the iPad is poised to hit a market that Apple invented and sees as primed for further exploitation. With the success of iPod and iPhone is there any doubt iPad will be a huge success?

Apps will be huge with the iPad and Apple is saying there are over 1400 iPad apps available already. Thousands more will appear quickly once the iPad tablet is released.

As with everything Apple the release will be big and will be big news as well. Back orders and huge lines at the Apple Stores will probably hit record level as with iPhone releases. Mr. Jobs does a brilliant job of creating buzz, so be ready for a media frenzy soon.

Because the iPad will do almost everything that most individuals do like web surfing, music, movies, email etc. The iPad will find a huge market for entertainment on the go. Another whisper is that the iPad will compete directly with Amazon's Kindle for digital books on the fly. As the release approaches we will probably learn more of this power packed devices true abilities.
