Apple iPad 2 - The New Generation of Mobile Computing

More than 15 million iPads sold, Apple is now releasing second generation of this incredible machine. This new iPad adds many new features that were missing from the first one, while keeping the old ones that every iPad user has learned to love.

One feature that many wanted to have in the first generation iPad was camera and that's why iPad 2 has not one but two cameras. Front-facing VGA resolution camera for video calls and another one at the back for capturing 720p HD video.

Using the latest version of iOS and Apple's new dual-core A5 processor, iPad 2 is going to deliver much faster performance. Even twice as fast the older iPad claimed by Apple. The graphic performance is said to be nine times faster than in the old iPad. New version of iOS let's you change the mute switch to a rotation lock.

Other features are, support for enhanced 3G connection and HDMI output that enables users to display the iPad 2 screen on any HD screen. Like the iPad, the iPad 2 is available with Wi-Fi + 3G or just Wi-Fi.

Almost all available apps on the App Store will work on iPad 2, including more than 65,000 native iPad apps. Old users of Apple App Store know that you can find app for almost anything.

iPad 2 has completely new design. It's 33 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter than the first one so it's going to be even easier to handle. The screen in iPad 2 is the same one as in the first one, 9.7 inch LCD screen with LED backlight and with the same resolution of 1024 x 768 so you can easily use the same wallpapers as in old one.

While new iPad 2 is smaller, lighter and uses much more powerful technology it still delivers 10 hour battery life and it's available in two colors, black and white.

This new iPad is missing few of upgrades that people were waiting. Like memory card slot and better display but these are surely going to be in next version.

So should you update your old iPad? If you want the cameras and more powerful hardware in a smaller package with the same price as the older iPad, you should. If you are happy with the older one right now you probably shouldn't update.

If you don't own any tablet yet you might want to wait and see what other companies are going offer in near future.
