iPad 2 - Everything You Need to Know About the Home Screen

The iPad and iPad 2 device's Home Screen is essentially the "Home Base" of your device. You can run here whenever you feel the need to "start over", escape from something you didn't mean to get into or even to search for something saved on your iPad. This is the place where you access all of the applications that came with you iPad 2, as well as the apps that you have downloaded on your iPad. Surprisingly, the iPad device can handle multiple Home Screens, a feature that is usually used when people want to organize their apps by category. The later OS versions allow you to even group your apps into particular folders on the Home Screen.

Moving Between Multiple Home Screens

To move from one iPad Home Screen to the next, you will need to swipe your finger across your iPad in the left or right direction. This motion will automatically make the next screen (probably full of apps) appear.

Customize the Layout on Your iPad 2

To reorganize the icons (apps) on your iPad's screen, touch any app and hold your finger down on it for a few seconds. You will see that all the apps on the current screen will begin to shake rapidly and have a black "X" symbol appear on the upper left-hand corner of the app. This feature allows you to then press and hold any app that you want to move and simply slide it into the position of your choice. To take an app to a different home screen altogether, slide the app all the way to the left or right side of the screen and you will find yourself on the next available Home Screen. If you are moving an app that is used frequently, you may want to move it down to the "dock" so that it appears on each Home Screen.

Deleting Apps on Your iPad 2

Deleting apps on your iPad is a lot easier than you probably imagined. All you have to do is press your finger down on any app until the apps start rapidly shaking again. Look for the black "X" on the upper left-hand corner of the app you wish to delete and tap it. You will be asked if you want to delete this app. Select "yes" and the app will be instantly deleted.

Once you have moved each app in the desired position, press the Home button and you will have a Home Screen with a fresh, organized look and feel.

iPad Screen Protectors - What You Should Know About Them

You do not really like cases and covers for your iPad but understand the importance of the accessories that protect your skin? Or maybe you do like and have a case for your iPad but want extra protection for it? An iPad screen protector will help you leave your marvelous device completely unscratched.

A screen protector for iPad is not a very expensive accessory but it sure is useful. Usually an iPad screen cover such as a screen protector is invisible. You place it over your display and it protects it from any scratches, dust, and smudges. An advantage of screen protectors is that they can be removed, washed, and then reused.

An invisibleshield iPad screen can protect both the front and the back of your iPad and no one will notice it is there. If you like your iPads look without any accessories this is the way to go. It has been reported that such an accessory can slightly increase the temperature of your iPad, but there is nothing to worry about. A full protector (both front and back sides protected) can cost 40 dollars, but it sure is worth to make the investment. An iPad screen protector will let you never worry about the damage you can involuntarily cause to your iPad.

Invisibleshields from Zagg are produced for many devices. You can equip your iPad with one but you can also get one for your iPhone, or for your iPod. If you have a Blackberry or a HTC mobile phone you will also be able to equip it with this amazing screen protector from Zagg.

Protection accessories are not the only ones that will make you enjoy your iPad at its most. You could go for a laptop stand as well. The laptop stand will help you use your iPad more comfortably. If you are reading a long text would you not like someone to hold your device for you instead of you having to hold it? That is exactly what a stand does.

Be sure to first buy protection accessories for your iPad if you want it to always be new. After that you can look for all the other accessories that will make your wonderful iPad perfect. Do not ignore the small details that count such as iPad accessories!

Protect Your iPad: 3 Reasons You Need a Screen Protector

If you are an iPad owner, chances are you dropped a pretty penny to get the sparkling, overly-functional device. Now you could be one of the lucky ones that received your iPad by entering a free drawing or have parents that give awesome gifts (like an iPad)! Whatever the case may be, your iPad is a valuable device. It is valuable in that it has about a million different uses and the fact that the price tag averages about $600.

It won't take you long to figure out, if you haven't already, that you need to take certain steps to protect your iPad. Neglecting to do so will surely result in a damaged and potentially ruined device. So how do you protect your iPad? Well, one of the best and most cost effective ways to protect the screen (which is basically the whole front side of the device) is with an iPad screen protector.

Let's look at the ways that an iPad screen protector works with an iPad:

1. Prevents Scratches

One of the most important features of any iPad screen protector is the fact that it will prevent you from scratching the screen of your iPad. iPads are extremely delicate and sensitive to touch, which is obviously seen when using the device. The screen is always being touched, and even sometimes tapped with increased pressure. iPad screen protectors are made to add an extra layer of protection so that your fingers and/or stylus are stopped from pressing to hard on the screen.

2. Prevent Smudging

No one likes trying to look at a screen through a layer of smudges and fingerprints. It can cloud up the screen so badly that it can actually prevent you from seeing what is on the screen. iPad screen protectors are made out of specific materials that don't attract smudging and fingerprints. You still may find a few here and there but you will see a significant difference in the cleanliness of your screen.

3. Apple Won't Cover Damaged a Screen

Do you think you can go without a screen protector because your Apple Care policy will cover it if it gets damaged? This is not true. Apple will not cover physical damage done to the screen because it is obviously a result of negligence on the user's part. Don't wait until it's too late to figure this out.

These are the three main reasons that you should spend a little money to protect your iPad. The cost of fixing damage to an iPad screen is so much more than the cost of an iPad screen protector!
