The Amazing iPad - Apple Has Done it Again

Let's talk about how ridiculously great the iPad is before we discuss the importance of protecting it. Apple did it again with their ingenious iPad. They revolutionized the technology strip with the iPod, the iPhone, the Macbook, and years later took the leap of faith and created the iPad,a device that people thought would crash and burn. Learn about the iPads awesomeness and ways to keep it protected for you to enjoy for years to come.

Why didn't the iPad make sense? Duh! Technology is supposed to get smaller not bigger. Most dummy consumers like me (at first) looked at this thing and thought "Honey, I Blew Up The iPod". It's just an iPod but bigger, right? In a way, yes, but in another way Apple has managed to somehow revolutionize the technology strip once again on this little planet we live on.

So why has a bigger iPod, called the iPad, gone from a ZERO to HERO almost overnight. While idiowads like me internalized the skepticism of most nonsensical people, others techies embraced Apple's "cause" to rid the world of bulky laptops and netbooks while combining all of the wonderful features of the iPod, which by the way, no other company has ever come close to Apple's genius technology. Apple has already taken the mp3 market with the iPod. When most people make reference to an mp3 player they call it an iPod, no matter what brand it is. It's the owner of the mp3 player that often has to correct the accuser, "Uh, it's a Zune", or "it's a watcha-ma-thing store brand".

Just as another example, take a look at reviews of the iPhone. There are 3 types of people who own cell phones. Those who enjoy all the rewarding benefits of an iPhone and love it to death. Those who have a cell phone but wish they had the iPhone but doesn't want to make the switch to AT&T to get it, and finally, those who are completely against the iPhone ONLY because they are ignorant and have never tried one. Let's just wait and see what happens when the iPhone comes over to a service provider like Verizon Wireless, Apple may have over two thirds of the market.

Apple has torn the competition with mp3 players, blew the roof off with their cell phone technology, have proven their computers are the most durable and virus resistant, and have now created the mega of all mega products, the iPad. The Amazon Kindle was one of the coolest inventions and was pretty revolutionary but it has been surpassed.

While the Kindle is really awesome and is great for people who read a lot of books that can be stored on a small digital pad it is still limited. It can't surf the web, check emails, organize your life, play movies, games, rock out with mp3's, hold photos, process documents, and the funny part is the iPad has an Amazon App to do what the Kindle can do. The owner of the iPad also has access to thousands of applications that can help you do just about anything you need. I don't think it can make coffee yet.

The number once reason why it may be seen everywhere and other companies will be trying to duplicate the design is that it could potentially replace the bulky laptop in the near future. The iPad is thin, light, has an enormous 10 hour battery life, has an on screen keyboard (optional external), can be stored easily, full time internet capabilities (optional 3G), taken almost anywhere, and can do most of what a regular laptop can do.

If you don't own an iPad yet, and you are technologically savvy, you may want to consider getting one. They are a bit pricey right now but prices will come down as other technology catches up with it. If you have one or are getting one, it is important that you also know how to care for it. Because they are so light and a bit larger, they are easier to damage if not treated properly. Ensure maximum protection for your iPad by investing in a iPad case and an iPad screen protector. You'll find that you are taking you iPad out almost as much as your cell phone and introducing it to many possible damaging situations.
