Apple's New iPad Touch Tablet Made Its Way

Look into the Apple name and its reputation related to recent releases of iPod and iPhone, its no sweat to show to the public and do some pr. Fortunately, they did give it a name. It is the iPad. iPad? What in the world is that...? A virtual mattress? No! The iPad is to be somewhere in between a laptop and an iPhone. Apple came out with this item to target businessmen, gamers, mac lovers, and every one who are using their products.

Okay, well please justify it a very little much better than simply "a massive iPod".

That's what I am here to do for you! The iPad offers a 9.Seven inch backlit led screen, and is solely 1.Five pounds with a thickness of 0.Five inches. The iPad provides you the capability to download something directly onto it with its bluetooth, wi-fi, and 3g at&t capabilities. All of these capabilities guarantee that the iPad user will be capable of the fastest affiliation and downloading speed out of any of Apple's products.

Is there an app for that? The answer is yes. Yes to any state of affairs one may suppose of. With the iPad, the user has 140,000 apps or more at their fingertips. There are apps being created each second of the day. Want an app? I can assure all that there is one.

Speculators were... Well for an absence of a much better term... Speculating that the price of the iPad would be nearly $800 or even $900. Nevertheless, Apple came out with a debut worth of solely $499! Somehow, Apple really worked on their worth, because the user is paying solely $499 for an iPod and a pc!

The network offered through the iPad is at&t. Some may say how poor of a corporation at&t is, and this, or that. The truth is, at&t is doing everything in its power to confirm that the iPad user obtains the most effective wireless connection. At&t has invested two billion greenbucks into creating a much better experience for the iPad user and is coming up with to invest 900% additional at intervals the next few months. At&t goes to prevent at nothing to create the iPad perfect!

Well, what concerning the options? I think a better approach to ask this is what features does it not have? The iPad options YouTube, safari, one hundred forty,000 apps, photos, iTunes, iPod, app store, iBooks, maps, calendar, and contacts to simply name a few. Any Apple owner knows that Apple has had all of these things since the iPod touch. Well, not solely does it have of these features, however it's the updated versions of all of them.

The iPad features a new accelerometer that has been upgraded from the previous iPhone accelerometer. The iPad's accelerometer uses each x and y axes to ensure a true 3d feel to it. This new upgrade is sensible for the gamers out there.

Apple's new iPad has so many features going for it. The new technology it offers is actually endless. One might not fail getting this new iPad. The targeted audience? The human race.

The iPad Tablet As an eReader

The iPad is selling like hotcakes -- an estimate of 2000 units per hour. The people who buy the iPad all have a wide range of interests. Some buy it for gaming, some buy it just to be the first on the early adopter train and some are still undecided whether they should invest in one. This article will examine the iPad as an eReader device and it will list the pros and cons of using the iPad as your main eReader.

The Pros. The iPad can support a wider variety of file formats: cbr, pdf, doc, docx, ppt. You have a paper you need to read before Monday? No problem. Need to read the new manga or comic book that came out? No problem. The only downside to this is that the ability to read a multiple range of formats is not built in. One must buy an external App for this. Do not like paying for an app that does what should have been present on the iPad by default? The iPad comes with an iBooks app. This is an.epub based store, which is so far supported by Penguin Books, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Macmillan Publishers, and Hachette Book Group USA. The advantage of using the.epub format is that there is support for "interactive books". One can rotate images, watch videos and even communicate with other user, all while reading a book. If you are visually impaired, the iPad iBooks app can read books out loud for you.

The Cons. The iPad uses a backlit LCD display. Unlike the e--ink displays, the iPad can irritate the eyes over prolonged reading. The two ways to prevent irritation: blinking and following the 20/20/20 rule (every 20 minutes look 20 feet away for 20 seconds to allow your eyes to refocus) are quite an annoyance. The iPad also doesn't have a native pdf/doc/cbr/ppt viewing app and spending money on what should have been a default feature can be an annoyance.

Should you buy a traditional e--ink eReader (kindle, Sony Reader) or wait for an iPad? If you are just looking to read books and do not need any fancy features then I would recommend you buy a traditional eReader. However if you want to read books and experience the power of mobile computing, then I would recommend the iPad. The iPad only has a 10 hour battery life, but nobody reads a book for 10 hours straight. With the iPad's advanced media and Internet Browsing Capabilities - the iPad is worth the extra money

Where to Buy an Apple iPad Tablet

The Apple iPad Tablet was one of the major releases of 2010 and has become an addictive gadget to many people. Indeed, the Apple iPad Tablet is an addictive piece of electronics, and being smaller than most pocket books or even a calendar, it enables you to be online and connected everywhere. It is so small and thin that it fits in any bag and you will not even notice that it is there. On the contrary, you will notice if it is not there, because it is so addictive that you will soon feel that you are missing something if you do not have your iPad within reach.

Where to buy an Apple iPad

There are many places to buy an Apple iPad, and you can choose between a retail store or you can buy an Apple iPad online. It is quite easy to buy it online and this way you can have it send directly to your address.

Some people still prefer to visit a retail store before they buy a product, so they can get a feel of the product before finalizing a purchase. But in the case of the iPad it is quite safe to buy online, as they look and feel the same no matter which model you choose. It is only the memory and the connectivity that varies.

It is worth doing some research on your iPad before purchase. You can easily do that online as there are several websites that provide detailed information on iPads. You can also find the best bargain through a price comparison site. You need to decide the memory of your iPad, and you can choose between 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Furthermore, you can choose if you want the Wi-Fi version or if you want both Wi-Fi and 3G.

You can buy an Apple iPad directly from the Apple Online Store and have it shipped to your home address or you can pick it up in your nearest Apple Store. Another great option is to buy your iPad through Amazon.com where you will find a huge variety of accessories to go with your iPad. Furthermore, Amazon also gives you the option to buy used iPads if you are looking for a cheaper price.

Whatever you choose, make sure you read the product descriptions in detail, so you are sure to get the version you are actually looking for.

10 Reasons to Buy iPad Tablet - You Decide Whether It's Right For You

There has been much talk about the launch of the iPad to the public earlier this month. Why buy iPad tablet when you have that trusted iPod or iPhone? Well I will let you be the judge of that as to whether you need an Apple iPad tablet. This article looks at 10 reasons why you may take out your wallet and purchase this new gadget on the market.

1. Hello Bloggers! If you love to blog and are regularly writing posts on the go, this latest tablet is definitely worth considering. It's lightweight with an excellent touch screen that allows you to type until your heart is content. It makes sense to carry an iPad instead of a heavier notebook?

2. Internet Connection. The iPad gives access to immediate Internet connection. So wherever you are, you have access to the net. Again it's good for convenience especially if you find yourself using the net frequently on the go. You will like the browsing capabilities courtesy of the Safari browser.

3. Electronic reader with a bit more. If there was one thing I found analyzing the iPad's capabilities in comparison to other readers like the Amazon Kindle or iPod for audio books, is that Apple's latest tablet delivers when it comes to reading digital comics. The Kindle and ipod are not able to read the comics as well as the iPad.

4. Cost. You would have thought an Apple product to be highly priced? Well think again. The iPad is affordable. You can get a 16GB WiFi tablet for $600.

5. Cool for Photography. If you enjoy photography and have the camera accessories, you can present your images on the go. The tablet shows excellent color and graphics, so you can be sure your images will look crisp.

6. Using the iPad for Business? The iPad tablet has a revamped iWork. So you can create documents, presentations and spreadsheets with ease. Each application costs less than $10 and comes with an excellent interface.

7. Newspapers and Magazines. With the new tablet you can read on the go in color. The iPad integrates reading media all into one.

8. More applications and still growing. You have over 150,000 applications for the iPad and more. Many applications for the iPhone and iPod work with the iPad tablet. There are specific iPad applications that impress. For example, as a comics fan the Marvel comics application is superb. Now you can read color comics and zoom in and out of images with the flick of the screen. Purchasing new comics is easy too.

9. Compact design. It's light, easy to carry with a powerful processor. Like me, if you travel a lot, this is an ideal partner.

10. Accessories. There is no shortage of accessories for the apple tablet. A physical keyboard, a variety of cases and stands, and camera adapters for SD cards. You can kit out your tablet based on your needs.

The new iPad does impress. Before you buy iPad tablet, be sure to check out this site for some great deals.

Apple iPad 2 Vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Tablet Wars

The second iteration of the Apple's tablet PC, the iPad 2 faces a different set of competition than its older brother. The success enjoyed by iPad 1 has led competitors to develop their own tablets all with the hopes of taking a chunk out of the growing tablet market. Let's review and take a look at one of the iPad 2's formidable competitor Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Initially introduced with a 7-inch display, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is more than just a size upgrade. It also features several improvements as well. Below is a head to head comparison between Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 vs Apple Ipad 2.

1. Processor

The iPad 2 is equipped with Apple's dual-core 1GHz A5 processor, a major improvement over the previous iPad's A4. The A5 chip boasts a graphical performance that is reported at ten times over the older tablet. As of this review, there is no report yet on the iPad 2's RAM size but 512MB is expected.

The Samsung Galaxy 10.1 is packed with the 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor. Just like the iPad 2 no figures are released yet as to the Galaxy Tab 10.1's available RAM making a comparison difficult.

For this category, we give a tie.

Advantage: Tie

2. Display

The display on iPad 2 is a carryover of the original iPad. This is not a bad thing because we still rate 9.7-inch backlit-LED IPS screen considered to be the best on it's class.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a 10.1-inch, 1280 x 800 pixel screen. This is about half an inch larger than the iPad 2.

Still, we give the iPad 2 an edge in this category.

Advantage: Apple iPad 2

3. Build and Design

The build quality and design of apple are quite exquisite. The iPad 2 is a perfect representation of the company's commitment to those ideals.

The iPad 2 is slimmer and lighter than its older brother but we did not feel a sacrifice in build quality and use of materials. It's more comfortable to carry now because the it feels solid.

The Samsung Galaxy 10.1 sports a 246.2 x 170.4 x 10.9mm, 599g size and weight dimensions. The Tab looks longer and the iPad 2 looks shorter and slimmer. Weight difference is negligible.

No doubt that iPad is winning this category.

Advantage: Apple iPad 2

4. Operating System

The iPad 2 operates with iOS 4.3. While it has improvements over the previous OS in terms of web browsing and application, the improvements seem like a minor tune-up.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1's Android 3.0 feels like it has been developed to take multi-tasking chores to another level. This "Honeycomb" OS also feels more user-friendly.

Advantage: Samsung Galaxy 10.1

5. Camera

The iPad 2's cameras are a 0.7-megapixel main camera with 720P HD capture capability. It also features and a secondary VGA camera for video-conferencing purposes.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has an impressive 8 megapixel dual LED flash, 1080p Full HD video, 24fps camera at the rear and a 2 megapixel camera in front.

Advantage: Samsung Galaxy 10.1

6. Connectivity

EDR and A2DP capable and Bluetooth 2.1 are built in iPad 2. It also has Wi-Fi a,b,g & n, and an HDMI-output. However, it lacks a MicroSD slot, a USB port and a card reader. Its 3G connectivity is data only.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G connectivity. But, it has no SD card slot as well. So I guess a tie score would be fair for this category.

Advantage: Tie

Samsung have not released how much the Galaxy Tab 10.1 are going to be. Until that is announced, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a slight edge over the Apple iPad 2.

The built-in accelerometer lets you view the iPad in landscape or portrait orientation. This way you can have a larger display of your videos and websites with a simple shift. On the landscape view, the QWERTY keypad almost becomes real-life large and is very comfortable to type on. With the Apple tablet, navigation is not an issue at all. The Spotlight Search makes finding applications, files and documents very easy.

Apple iPad specs include complete YouTube integration, Wi-Fi support and the latest browser to view websites on. The external keyboard gives you more comfort for typing and navigating on the iPad, while the iPad case provides a safe cover for the gadget. The Apple iPad release was most certainly interesting as stocks ran out almost immediately after the release date. Is the Apple iPad a Lot Better Than Netbook Computers Or Even Tablet PCs?

Apple is going to release a brand new gadget named iPad. You'll be able to make use of it to browse the net, check electronic mail, and also watch video clips and photos. You may also choose from several thousands of user developed applications to set up.

The actual iPad is not on the market at this moment. Although Apple released the Software Development Kits along with the iPad simulator so folks can start developing apps for this, the iPad will be released in March 2010, and an additional variation released in April '10. The iPad is a really slim and light device, therefore it is unquestionably a thing you might take on the road. Its sleek style and design is certainly typical of Apple items.

However the iPad possesses a great number of points working against it in comparison against many other devices. For example, netbooks provide really much more than the iPad Netbook computers are really noticeably more inexpensive when compared to the Apple iPad The lowest cost edition of Apple iPad should cost $450 The latest mini netbook coming from a highly regarded brand name could run you somewhere between $249 up to maybe $430. Although seeing that we'll be contrasting the Apple iPad along with other high quality devices, why don't we go with the most advanced edition of the Apple iPad, that has 64giga bytes worth of drive space. Even though this iPad will carry a price tag of over $800, any mini netbook computer which has a 150Gb hard disk may well cost approximately two hundred and fifty dollars That is certainly an additional advantage of a new mini netbook, it has far more hard disk drive space compared to a Apple iPad.

The iPad will certainly contain a chip that is significantly slower when compared with the one the majority of netbook computers contain. In many instances a new netbook computer could possibly be more than twice as fast as the Apple iPad. And what about screen size? The actual Apple iPad incorporates a 9.7 inch screen, regular netbook computers have different display dimensions, although generally they're close to 13 in. In this case, the actual winner wasn't really apparent mainly because that depends on your own choice: portability or perhaps screen size. Apple has spoken a good deal regarding all the applications that exist for an Apple iPad, since their own products have been recognized to bring in numerous designers. But netbook computers are actually ordinary computer systems, including a lot of diverse applications accessible as well as prepared to be purchased. Netbook computers benefit from almost all of a broad selection of equipment and hardware choices, and considering that mini netbook computers possess universal serial bus (usb) connectors, you'll find countless products that can be connected into them. Additionally, considering this is a machine that is promoted as being the best to experience video playback as well as photos, it is certainly odd that it does not have a photographic camera.

To finish things off, the Apple iPad launching can be a large landmark for Apple. It has already been highly expected and also acclaimed. But for this sort of cost, one can't help but ponder if it is deserving of it. Again, if you're looking for mobility as well as usability, the Apple iPad will likely give you happiness. But a netbook computer can cost a third of the Apple iPad price and provide a lot more functionality and already established platforms, and also it can easily link directly together with other computers, while also providing you with transportability. To my opinion it's obvious, mini netbook computers are the champions in the fight between iPad vs netbook.

It appears that the iPad will be more of a rival for some other smaller products like the tablet PCs and even the Apple iPhone, because it seriously does not measure up to mini netbooks, especially taking into consideration its price tag.

What is the Best Selling Apple iPad Tablet?

Many would think the 64gb 3G iPad tablet would be the best selling iPad tablet, but surprisingly it's not! According to our consumer statistics for the month of May 2010, the 16gb iPad Wi-Fi version was clearly the leader by a margin of 2 to 1 over the 64gb 3G version. Why? Well one obvious reason is the price point. The 16gb iPad has an introductory retail price of just $499 and this price has remained pretty stable among resellers. This is due to Apple's marketing plan. It appears that Apple manufactured an abundant supply of 16gb WI-Fi tablets which lead resellers, like the many vendors in eBay, to swoop them up and relist them in hopes of making vast returns. Well as it appears, the profits are not nearly what eBay sellers were hoping for. As it appears, many eBay retailers are all trying to cash out at the same time, thus flooding the market with 16gb iPads. This is in no way benefiting the resellers as it keeps the prices low, but it is definitely beneficial to the buyers, making it the most affordable and best selling iPad tablet right now. Buyers are able to purchase the 16gb iPad in most instances for exactly what they would pay online through Apple or at an Apple retail store location, but without the long anticipated waiting/shipping period. Paying a few extra dollars through eBay for shipping and forgoing the average 3-4 week waiting period from purchasing directly from Apple, is unquestionably the preference among consumers wanting to get this device in their hands.

The 32gb iPad tablet on the other hand is the least best selling iPad according to our statistical sales data. It appears that consumers either want an affordable new innovative gadget that's fits within a comfortable budget like the entry level iPad or they want all the gusto that the 64gb 3G has to offer. The 64gb 3G iPad tablet is the second best selling iPad tablet among consumers. The suggested retail price is $699 for the Wi-Fi version or an additional $130 for the 3G functionality, which brings the grand total to $829 + tax but that's only if you order it directly from the online Apple store or you're put on an Apple retail store waiting list. The waiting list can be up to 30 days and people want them now! This is why eBay resellers that are lucky enough to have a few in stock are now selling the 64gb 3G for a premium. In some cases consumers are paying up to $400 over the suggested retail price just to get their hands on one of these little babies.

Whether you purchase a 16gb or a 64gb (with or without 3G connectivity), you will be more than satisfied. Why? Unless you plan on turning your iPad into some type of super movie theater with tons of movies on it, I wouldn't be too concerned. This is why... the average downloadable application uses between 1kbps to 30mbps. There are a total of 1024mbps in 1gb. So, 16gb X 1024mbps = 16,400mbps of useable space. A 16gb iPad tablet that averages 30mbps per app would allow you up to 546 apps. Even the larger apps like Apple iWork only use 52.9 Mbps of space.

What about the issue of purchasing a Wi-Fi iPad (without 3G service) and regretting it later when you find yourself in areas without a Wi-Fi connection? Well, it looks like you're covered there too. It was just released that Verizon is jumping onboard with their version of a battery operated 3G-converter-to-Wi-Fi device. The Wi-Fi signal can then be picked up by your Wi-Fi iPad. Thus, giving it the ability to take an ordinary Wi-Fi iPad and instantly turn it in to a super iPad with 3G availability. Wow, a $499 iPad tablet with portable internet access! The only thing Verizon is going to have to work on is their traditional 2 year contract that is usually accompanied with their service plans and a monthly rate that can compete with AT&T's incredibly low $14.99 data plan. If they can over come those two obstacles, I believe they will do amazingly well. Apple's New Tablet - What Will iPad Cost and How Does it Work?

Apple has finally done it. Apple has released its new tablet device, that is. The Mac public was expecting, indeed clamoring -- for Apple to release such a device -- and soon! For Apple to have failed to do so would have been a major letdown (to its customers as well as its stockholders). The momentum was just impossible to resist.

After all, the iPhone is essentially a miniature tablet computer. Apple has shown that it can "do" such a device like no one else. So, despite Steve Jobs past protestations, releasing a new tablet was a no-brainer. All Apple had to do is scale up its brilliant interface to a larger device.

Did I say "all Apple had to do?" The technical challenges in producing this new device, called the iPad, were enormous. Apple had to essentially design a whole new operating system that is not quite the Mac and not quite the iPhone, rewrite its core applications from scratch, and basically rethink the entire way a computer operates.

Apple was not the first to release a new tablet computer, just as it was not the first to release an MP3 player or cell phone, but it may well be the company that succeeds in making the tablet computer truly "catch fire" with the public.

Apple has a tremendous head start with 140,000+ apps for the iPhone, and it wisely designed the iPad to take advantage of them. The iPad can run iPhone apps at their original size, or in "pixel doubled mode" twice the size as on the iPhone, so that they nearly fill the iPad screen. Developers can easily rewrite their iPhone apps specifically for the iPad in such a way as to take advantage of its new features.

How will the iPad affect Internet marketers? Of course, the "i" in its name stands for Internet (and it's also a clever play on the name of the "iPod"). Surfing the web will be a joy, and a larger screen will give users much more room to work with. Apple's developers brag that it's like "holding the entire Internet in your hand," or like reading a physical book or magazine.

Creation of new apps for the iPad by developers could rival the gold rush that sprang up around the iPhone. Apple offers the SDK 3.2 beta for developers with the tools they need to start creating applications for the iPad, and an iPad simulator that lets them build and run applications on the Mac, lay out the user interface, test memory usage and debug.

Web graphic designers and artists will enjoy the included Brushes application on the iPad's larger screen, although some may feel that it is something like fingerpainting -- a stylus that works with the iPad will not be supported, at least not initially.

Apple has completely rewritten its productivity software iWork for the iPad. Keynote contains custom graph styles, custom-designed themes, animations and effects, and brand-new features designed just for the iPad. Pages includes Apple-designed templates and formatting tools. Numbers offers over 250 formulas, flexible tables and sophisticated charts.

Want to catch up on your marketing reading? Apple has worked hard to make reading e-books, magazines and newspapers pleasurable on the iPad. Apple's e-book reading software has an interface that looks like a bookshelf. Flip the bookshelf over with your finger, and you're brought to the online store where you can purchase new books.

The iPad's built-in Safari browser works just like the one on your Mac. And, like the version on your iPhone, you can scroll through pages by flicking your finger across them, or pinch or double tap to zoom in on a photo.

The Mail application offers a landscape view with a split screen showing both the current e-mail and the unread messages in your inbox. Want to view the current e-mail message by itself? Simply turn the iPad to portrait mode and the message zooms to fill the screen. The iPad will work with popular e-mail providers such as mobile me, Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Hotmail and AOL. To compose a message, you just tap and start typing.

This brings us to the onscreen keyboard. Many pundits wondered how text entry would work on Apple's new tablet device. You can use an external keyboard for typing long documents if you wish. However, I think Apple made the right decision in not attempting to build a physical keyboard into the tablet. The goal of the iPad is to bring your data and web surfing up close for an intimate feel. A keypad would simply get between you and the screen.

The on-screen keyboard is much larger, of course, than what is possible on the iPhone. In landscape mode, the keyboard is almost as large as that on a standard laptop. With just a few tweaks to the word recognition and auto-correction features of the iPhone software, typing on this virtual keyboard, I suspect, could be almost as fast as using a real one. Plus, I believe that voice dictation apps could come quickly to the iPad, just as they have to the iPhone.

And, of course, the iPad includes all of the same features as the iPhone, only in a larger form--video, YouTube, the iPod and iTunes, interactive satellite maps, the notepad, a calendar completely redesigned from the ground up for the iPad, Contacts and Spotlight search.

The iPad will be shipped in three different internal storage configurations and with the option of Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + 3G, for a total of six different models. The base model, the 16 GB Wi-Fi only, will start at a reasonable $499, while the top of the line 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G model will tip the scales at a still affordable $829. Apple has said that, while most new technologies are introduced at a higher price point and slowly work their way down, Apple wanted to do things differently.

When will the iPad be available? Apple expects the Wi-Fi models to ship in late March and the 3G models to ship in April.

The thinness, just 0.5 inches, the light weight, just 1.5 pounds, and the flexibility of this new device are sure to make the iPad popular with Internet marketers and anyone on the go. With its high resolution LED backlight, it's larger display, it's responsive multi-touch screen and its powerful Apple-designed processor, the new iPad will be thin and light enough to take anywhere. And I suspect that many people will choose to do exactly that.

Is Apple iPad Tablet For You?

The tablet PC, portable small-screen multi-touch, like the innovative iPad Apple, are the result of developments in recent years: touch screens more efficient operating systems more friendly and intuitive, the greater autonomy of the batteries and saving resources computer, making it lighter and more compact.

The combination of these innovations in enabling a product as versatile and multimedia as iPad from Apple. However, it will not be the one. Models from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Toshiba will begin shipping soon.

iPad is available in two versions: with only Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi and 3G. Each version exists with different memory capacities (16, 32, and 64 GB).

Our analysis to iPad

iPad went on sale in the United States in early April. We tested the base model Wi-Fi 16GB. The package includes a USB adapter, a 10 watts charger, and a quick start guide.

Dimensions

iPad measuring 190 x 243 x 14 mm and weighs 688 grams. With only 688 grams, is a computer very light: less than a pound, on average, than a net book too thin. However, given that, you must handle it with your hands (without a table); 700 grams can become uncomfortable after some time.

Screen

iPad has a widescreen multi-touch, with a diagonal of 9.7 inches and a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. The fingerprints on the screen of iPad almost unnoticeable when used inside, with good lighting conditions. However, the same does not go abroad, not because of fingerprints, but for lack of contrast and, especially, for being too reflective.

Operating system and applications

iPad works with the iPhone operating system OS 3.2, an adapted version of the iPhone. Brings few premises of origin. To install new software, you must visit the App Store, at Apple's site. Many applications are paid.

The applications were the main reason for the success of the iPhone. Marked the difference between Apple's Smartphone and the competition. Only time will tell whether it will be repeated with the iPad.

In iPad, you can download programs originally designed for the iPhone, though on a smaller scale of 1:1. The image will appear with the screen size of iPhone, unless you choose to expand it, but in this case, it becomes diffuse and loses clarity.

If you already had acquired a program for the iPhone, will have to pay again to download it for iPad.

Limited Multitasking

You can switch instantly iPad, unlike other machines, which take some time to boot. Moreover, it reacts quickly to "touch" of the user and, when requested, applications open almost instantly. The ability to multitask (multitasking) the iPad is very limited. You can listen to music while writing a query mails or text, for example. However, does not use other programs at the same time. However, for many customers the lack of multitasking is not a drawback: they open multiple applications and use one at a time, using the home button. When you press this button, the application freezes. When it is open again, starts exactly where it was left.

Very basic connections

iPad has some basic buttons to adjust the volume, for example, and an input for headphones. You do not have a webcam or HDMI connector, a USB or a memory card reader. Will need to purchase some accessories to solve these problems.

Good sound

The sound is of excellent quality both with headphones and in the small speakers, despite its small size. Is not comparable to a stereo Hi-Fi, but it is better than a netbook. Bring a microphone to make voice calls over IP or voice recording. Although there is still no version of Skype for iPad, can use that is designed for the iPhone, using the microphone and speakers in the iPad. However, you can not leave Skype logged in while doing another task, because iPad can not use multiple applications simultaneously (multitasking).

Autonomy for a day's work

The battery passed with distinction the hard evidence that was submitted. We can see YouTube videos via Wi-Fi during 6 hours and 45 minutes. When playing videos downloaded and stored in internal memory, hung on for eight hours and a quarter. The test was carried out in demanding conditions, with the screen brightness and volume to maximum. Featuring high precision of the indicator of battery charge.

Main tasks

? Browse the Internet - iPad has a good browser and a good screen size. However, it does not support Flash technology, which prevents come and see some sites or content.

? Write IN an iPad - with the integrated keyboard on the screen is not comfortable for long texts. But you can write fairly quickly. Position the cursor in situations that require some precision, for example, to correct a word, is not easy. Still, the experience exceeded our expectations.

? Reading e-books - is a better player itself. We compared with a Kindle. The latter is best in almost all respects. It has half the weight and use of electronic ink technology, which makes the viewing experience very pleasant, almost as if reading a paper document. Moreover, it can be used outdoors, even in bright sunlight (photo). Battery life is incomparable: 1 week instead of 10 hours.

If instead of e-books, you want digital editions of newspapers and magazines, iPad gains clear advantage, because the Kindle's screen is not colour.

? The videos are very good in iPad, when viewed under good lighting. However, given its shape, it is necessary to hold the iPad all the time, unless you buy a base (iPad case), to put it upright. There are also some compatibility issues video formats, e.g., divx or avi.

? Strengths - multimedia games: a touch interface, which fits perfectly with some types of games, the big screen, and the price. While iPad is more expensive than a DS and a PSP, games are much cheaper. In contrast, the size makes it not as transportable as a portable console.

? Send emails and write documents are smaller tasks that iPad can make. But to work in day-to-day, the tablet from Apple is not ideal. Even installing office applications such as iWork, iPad can not be seen as working computer. Keynote (for presentations), Numbers (for tables) and Pages (word processing) are, for now, the only office applications for the Apple iPad.

They are very simple and intuitive and enable you to read and edit Office documents: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. However, we discovered some compatibility problems with certain formats. Serve for some tasks, but if you want to be 100% sure that you are viewing as an Office file was created; there is no alternative but to use a PC. With Pages, you can export a file in Word format. Rather, with the Numbers and Keynote, you can not create an xls and ppt file, but only in itself or in pdf format.

Is iPad good for me?

iPad is a computer with appealing design, designed for the entertainment, to use while sitting on the couch or away from home. Lets you surf the Internet, send emails, write short texts, using social networks, see and show photos and videos, read a newspaper or magazine in digital format or play. Works well, is convenient, easily transportable, and has an intuitive.

However...

? iPad can hardly be your main computer.

? To read e-books, it is better to choose a player himself.

? To work, the netbooks are better.

? It will be expensive, given the prices in countries where it sells, but for iLovers, it is a dream comes true.
